Super Fabby Fig Muffins!
I had figs to use up.
Enough said.
Luckily Little O ate three of them last night.
HA!
Apparently they are quite good.
MLK Day was a very lazy one for me. I had my first fitting with my dressmaker who informed that it's most likely going to cost in the neighborhood of 500 bucks to make my dress and that I should never, ever listen to people at JoAnn Fabrics or Hobby Lobby when it comes to buying fabric. Ha!
The dressmaker (from her on out referred to as insanely mad woman) is in fact, insanely mad. In the course of our hour and half session the following things occurred. I kid you not.

- She smacked my ass.
- She told me I looked like a dancer because I have "no boobies".
- She informed that one girl she made a dress for was murder shortly thereafter.
- She had me try on other small dresses she collect cause she thought it would be fun.
- She invited D and I to a wine tasting at her home in February.
- She showed me a picture of a deer she spotted in her backyard.
- She called Big Bend and asked if they had camping spots available for my bday trip.
This is all true folks.
By the time I left I was tired from trying to hold in all that laughter.
So I took nap.
When I got home obviously.
Next up for the day was a trip to the "sides" (Little O speak for slide which indicates that we went to the park). Remember I'm the baby whisperer?
Headed home from the park...
With "tato" parts...

I then did laundry, made some p/c for work, picked up 937504754739798792 pieces of play food and 9503476596754 blocks.
After making chorizo nacho's for D (as he is on this big nacho kick) I decided "OOOOH yeah... FIGS!" So, Now for the main event...
FABBY FIG MUFFINS!
First combine the following in a lovely bowl of your choice:

FABBY FIG MUFFINS!
First combine the following in a lovely bowl of your choice:
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 1/2 t Cinnamon
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/4 baking soda
Next up do the usual:
remove something from your child's nose
do your hair
water the garden
feed the stupid cat that you can't stand but won't tell you fiance
make a sippy cup
Oh and dice the figs...
I did just shy of a cup

After making lunches and stepping on the stupid cat and several "tato" parts combine the following:
- 2 eggs gently beat up (eeeeasy)
- 1 c butter milk (or 1 c milk with a splash of lemon juice)
- 2/3 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c melted butter
Now go have a heart attack... (that's a LOT of butter)
Make a well in the dry ingredients and slowly mix in the wet...
Now it's time to add those figs!
Fold very gently or you'll have un-fluffy muffins.
No over-mixing folks.
This is the part of the story where I go put the cushions back on the couch and pull something else random out of Little O's nose (who is standing fully dressed in the tub screaming TUBBIE)!
Put muffin mix into muffin pan.
Seems logical enough.
I may have eaten several HUGE bites of cookie dough.
Just sayin...

:)
Heat oven to 350.
Bake till done.
I have no idea how long that is since I was not paying attention.
I was reading a book about stars, squares, circles, and triangles.
Lastly, place lovely muffins on a plate.
Clean up insanely dirty kitchen.
Ugh and double merde.
Eat a muffin.
Eat another muffin.
Go cuddle with Little O.

$500 seems cheap. Maybe the butt smacking got you a discount. :)
Haha! 500 is cheap but it's still 500. I'm hoping that we can do some altering to the dress after and I can wear it again.
My husband sent "Je t'aime a mourir" to me when we were dating. :) The other song is depressing, but I love it too. Glad you like them!
