50 Day Challenge
A Picture of Your Favorite Book

Jacob Have I Loved.

This book is terribly sad.
I found it at a time in my teenager-dom that I was lost, confused, and essentially a typical awkward teenager.
I bonded with the main character in her search for who she is.
I read it now and it seems kinda silly but it was so important to me.
I also adore the movie with Bridget Fonda.
But a movie is no book.

Frog and Toad.

My Dad used to read to us a lot.
His favorites were Frog and Toad and Pigs in Hiding.
I distinctly remember how hard he would laugh when reading us Frog and Toad.
I always loved that part of the book just because I got to hear him laugh.
I now read it to Little O.

The BFG.
My mom would make Max and I cinnamon toast and warm vanilla milk and we'd pile onto the ugliest blue coach EVER and she'd read. We read everything from Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter, and my most favorite...
The BFG.
My mom did voices and I loved her voice for the BFG.

This is by far my favorite Hemingway.
and the reason I want to go to Spain.
I never much liked Gatsby.
(sorry Pops).
I love his writing style in this book and the way he sets a scene.

I've talked about this book before and it's importance to me.
I could read it over and over and over.
I wonder what book Little O will read someday and feel the same way about.
Right now it's Eloise in the Hotel.
HeHe

Jane Eyre.
I've read Jane Eyre so many times that I quite actually reading the entire novel and simply book marking my favorite sections.
The copy I have my Pops bought me in High School.
I've read it 58409386 times, dreamt of finding my Mr. Rochester, seen every stinking version of it ever made, wrote the versions that I liked and disliked on the back flap of the book jacket, and fallen in love every single time I read it.

If you are young girl and a tad quirky (i.e. Kate) you will love this entire series.
I believe there are 10 books.
i still reread them and giggle and giggle.
It is one of the few books that I actually burst out laughing at.

Pride and Prejudice.
Take every thing I said about Jane Eyre and put it here.
My copy is so worn that some of the pages have fallen out.
Oh, Elizabeth.
Oh, Mr. Darcy.
What would love be without you?

Thank you! Now I have more books that I have to read and reread!
