Thank you to Ryan and Mom for calming down a v. uber, massively hysterical Kate.

sausage with red beans and rice

insurance issue still not resolved.
ugh.
and double merde.

Start by kissing the Little O wearing his Buzz wings...

Measure 2-2 1/2 c. broth and 1 c. rice.
Cook to the consistency that you prefer.
Call your Mom to complain about how rough your life is.
Be thankful that she knows you aren't serious and ignores the stream of cuss words you use.

Cook up the sausage.
Fold some laundry.
Do some dishes.
Burn your thumb because you're too lazy to find the tongs to turn the sausages.
Throw out the rotten pumpkin.
Pull some weeds in the garden.
Pick some grape tomatoes.
Eat most of them while walking from the garden to the house.

Go Kiss this Little O again...still in his wings... still in pain (thank you insurance company and stupid President Bush and stupid insurance companies)....

Gather the following:
  • green bell pepper
  • banana pepper (or a jalapeno)
  • 1/2 large onion
  • 4 tomatoes peeled and diced
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 c. kidney (or pinto) beans
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 t. sage/parsley/oregano/thyme/paprika
  • s&p

Dice 'em up.
Call some clients for work.
Document calls to clients.
Open a bottle of wine.
Drink a glass.
Check FB (hehehe).
Change a diaper.
Ignore the request for stuckers (suckers).
Text your brother.
Wish you were asleep.
Wish you were 17 again.
Saute diced veggies in EVOO till golden and smelling yummy!

Combine spices, veggies, beans, and a splash of tabasco if you dare).
Give into the request for a stucker.
Make the beds upstairs.
Turn on the Halloween lights and light the lanterns outside.
Make a sippy cup.
Make PB&J for Little O's lunch tomorrow.

Take a 10 minute cuddle break with Little O.
Add sausage to the skillet and mix.
Go sew 6 beads onto veil.
Look up # for HR dept. (for purposes of yelling at ppl tomorrow).
Fold more laundry.
Spend 15 min. looking for Woody.

Stir finished sausage mixture.
Thank God for perfect timing.
Start a tubby for Little O.

Plate up the sausage, red beans, and rice.
Be thankful for your home and family on a bad day.
Sit with D, Little O (ok he's squirming), dinner and a relaxing bottle of Merlot.
Start all over tomorrow....

Here are the people that make all this worth it...

I so LOVE her.
There aren't enough words.

How I see my Dad most of the time...

And this guy is the best man I've ever known.
He calms me down. Is my rock. Loves his nephew. Is just like my Dad.
Knows me inside out and up and down and side ways and still likes me.
Even though I made him eat dirt when we were kids.
and blamed endless amounts of stuff on him.
and hated him occasionally.
and made him wear dresses.
and am now making him my "best man/maid of honor".
hehehe...

Why do I have bug eyes in that picture?
I look scary.
He looks normal.
Me scary. nice.
typico.
